May is Mental Health Awareness Month. If you’ve felt like you’re a burden because you have (or feel you might have) a mental illness, this is your reminder that you’re not too much. You are not alone. There are others like you. You have access to resources. There are helplines you can call and websites you can chat via instant messages to if you don’t have someone you feel like you can trust with these things at first.
You are deserving of love. There are people who already love you. Your anxiety does not define you. Your [insert struggle] does not define you. You can manage it so it doesn’t feel so overwhelming, and in some cases, you can heal from it so it’s barely a struggle. You have options to help you.
