How to start your day better in under 60 seconds:
When you wake up, don’t just turn off your alarm (or hit the snooze button more than once) and start scrolling through the news or your social media feed. Before someone starts feeding you information or persuasion from advertisements, take that time to invest in yourself. Before you even look at your To-Do list, be still for a moment without distraction. Pause. How do you feel? Take a deep breath and stretch.
After you’ve washed your face, look in the mirror and smile. You’re beautiful! Tell yourself that. Use your own voice to speak that while you look at yourself. “I am beautiful. I am capable. I am smart. I can do difficult things. I will be kind and strong.” Fight your insecurities with your words when you start the day.
